The role
You're the day-to-day for our clients and the connective tissue for our teams. Briefs, timelines, budgets, reviews. You keep them all in motion and nothing falls through. Own daily client communication. Clear, accurate, fast.
Serve as the bridge between clients and our creative, strategy, and production teams.
Help build the briefs, timelines, budgets, and scopes that set the work up to win.

Greenbelt, MD (Hybrid) · Full-Time or Contractor
The short version
We make brands and places impossible to scroll past. We need someone who can do it every day, on every feed, without running out of ideas by Tuesday.
Who we are
Merrick Creative is a creative and communications agency in Greenbelt, MD. We work with the depth of a consultancy, the fire of a studio, and the urgency of a newsroom. We build brand strategy, marketing, PR, podcasts, and AI tools we actually use. Real estate, food and beverage, national brands. If a brand or a place needs to matter to people, that is the work.
The role
You are a maker. You shoot the photo, capture the video, write the caption. You are comfortable being the one holding the camera and the one holding the pen. And when an idea needs more than one set of hands, you have a full design team within arm's reach to build it with you. You know the difference between a post that fills a calendar slot and a post that makes someone stop, laugh, and tap follow.
What you'll do
Shoot and create. Photo, video, copy. You produce the raw material that makes a feed worth following.
Write the words. Every platform, every format, on brand and on time.
Lean on the team. Tap our designers when an idea calls for polish, motion, or something built from scratch.
Run the feeds. Post, engage, reply, and grow the audience like the numbers are yours.
Get in the room. Brainstorm with strategists, designers, and producers and bring ideas nobody else brought.
Stay current. Spot trends early, test them fast, drop the ones that flop.
Put AI to work. Human-first, always. But we use AI for good and build our own tools to move faster and spend more time on the ideas. You'll help us do it well.
What you bring
1 to 3 years making social content that people actually engaged with.
A real eye and hand for shooting photo and video, plus the instinct to know when to bring in the design team.
Fluency across the major platforms and the tools that feed them.
A perfectionist streak. You notice when something's a pixel off or a word too long.
Real curiosity about marketing, culture, and where the internet is headed next.
Writing that sounds like a person. Talking that closes the room.
The ability to juggle five things and drop none of them.
The fine print, sincerely meant

PR moves fast. The angle that's hot this morning is old by three. We need a writer who can find the story, pitch it before the window closes, and is hungry to run their own accounts down the line.
Who we are
Merrick Creative is a creative and communications agency in Greenbelt, MD. Our PR team shapes how clients are seen, heard, and talked about. We land the high-profile coverage, steer clients through the storms, and build campaigns that make their work impossible to ignore. Food and beverage, real estate, nonprofits. Brands and causes worth fighting for.
The role
You're a writer first and a strategist right behind it. You can take a tangled idea and turn it into a story a journalist actually wants to run. You know a good angle when you see one and you know who to send it to. This is a role with a runway. If you're aiming to grow into an account lead, we're building this so you can get there.
What you'll do
Draft, edit, and pitch press releases, op-eds, and advisories to national, regional, and trade outlets.
Build the storylines and talking points that put client impact and thought leadership front and center.
Watch the coverage and spot the openings, both the ones to chase and the ones to answer.
Grow real relationships with journalists across every sector we touch.
Write across the board. Blog posts, op-eds, newsletters, fact sheets, social copy.
Develop concepts, taglines, and ad copy for paid social, digital campaigns, and ads.
Cook up communications strategies that don't sound like everyone else's, tied to real client goals.
Back up reputation management, issues response, and crisis comms when the moment calls for it.
Work with account leads and creative teams to keep messaging tight across every platform and coordinate the workflow across design, digital, and strategy.
Build content calendars and cross-platform plans for the announcements and op-eds that matter.
What you bring
2 to 4 years in marketing, PR, or communications.
Exceptional writing, with the range to shift tone and voice for any audience or format. Samples required.
A real feel for the media landscape and an eye for the story angle others miss.
The instinct to connect the day-to-day tactics to the bigger strategy.
Sharp organization and time management. Detail-oriented, and proactive without being asked.
The ability to juggle multiple clients and projects without dropping the pace.
Familiarity with Muckrack, Cision, or Meltwater is a plus.

Podcast Editor
Great conversations don't polish themselves. We need someone who can take a raw recording and turn it into something people can't stop listening to.
Remote · Freelance and/or Paid Internship
The short version
Great conversations don't polish themselves. We need someone who can take a raw recording and turn it into something people can't stop listening to.
Who we are
We're a culture-forward creative agency and podcast network making shows that live where music, sports, business, and storytelling collide. We shape brand narratives and launch podcasts that cut through the noise. If a show is worth making, it's worth making sound incredible.
The role
You're the one who makes it sound effortless, which is the hardest thing to pull off. You take the raw tape and find the episode inside it. You have the technical chops to clean anything up and the ear to know what to leave alone. Every show has its own voice. Your job is to bring it out, not paper over it.
What you'll do
Cut raw recordings into finished episodes that sound clean and move at the right pace.
Kill the filler, the noise, and the glitches without making it sound scrubbed.
Mix and balance the tracks. Host, guest, music, FX, all sitting where they should.
Work with producers and hosts so every episode hits the creative vision and the brand standard.
Build in the intros, outros, ads, and everything else a finished show needs.
Cut 15 to 45 second social clips that make people want the whole episode.
Deliver clean audio and video, right format, on schedule, every time.
Keep your files organized and your workflow tight so nothing gets lost.
What you bring
Real experience editing podcasts or audio. Show us. Portfolio or samples required.
Command of at least one pro editing tool. Adobe Audition, Pro Tools, Logic Pro, Reaper, Audacity. Tell us your weapon of choice. Most of our recording lives on Riverside and we polish in Capcut or Wondershare Filmora.
A working grip on mixing, EQ, compression, and the basics of mastering.
Obsessive attention to detail and a standard for clean, professional sound.
The ability to communicate well, work solo, and hit deadlines without a babysitter.
A problem-solver's instinct. Every show has a different format and tone. You adapt.
Bonus points for sound design, music, and a knack for social cutdowns.
What's in it for you
Remote or in-person, on a schedule that flexes around your life.
Real work on diverse, high-profile shows.
A team that actually backs you and gives you room to level up.
A portfolio built on professional shows people actually listen to.
Ready? Send your resume, a short note on your experience with links to one or two samples of your work. Show us what you can do.
