Position Overview:
At Merrick Creative, we believe that great copy isn’t just about sounding good — it’s about clarity, intention, and connection. We’re looking for skilled copywriters who can bring brand voices to life across a range of marketing and collateral formats. From brochures and websites to pitch decks and one-pagers, your words will help shape how brands communicate who they are and what they stand for.
The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, strategic, and knows how to turn complex ideas into clear, compelling language. You understand how to write for different audiences, mediums, and moments — and you’re just as comfortable writing a product page as you are a campaign headline.
Responsibilities:
Write, edit, and proofread marketing and brand collateral, including brochures, websites, case studies, internal materials, and client decks
Translate client goals and creative briefs into smart, audience-first messaging
Collaborate with designers, strategists, and project leads to bring ideas to life across various formats
Adapt tone and voice to match brand guidelines and resonate with specific audiences
Ensure copy is clear, consistent, and on-brand, across both digital and print
Help shape narrative structure and hierarchy for content-heavy assets like websites or presentations
Stay up to date on writing trends, marketing language, and digital content best practices
Qualifications:
Exceptional writing, editing, and storytelling skills
3–4 years of academic or professional experience writing marketing or brand copy
Strong attention to detail, grammar, and voice consistency
Experience writing for websites, brochures, emails, or other marketing materials
Ability to interpret creative briefs and translate strategy into clear messaging
Comfortable working both independently and collaboratively across teams
Bonus if you have experience with UX writing, SEO, or content strategy
