Podcast Editor (Freelancer/Internship)

Remote · Freelance (paid) and/or Internship

The short version

Great conversations don't polish themselves. We need someone who can take a raw recording and turn it into something people can't stop listening to.

Who we are

We're a culture-forward creative agency and podcast network making shows that live where music, sports, business, and storytelling collide. We shape brand narratives and launch podcasts that cut through the noise. If a show is worth making, it's worth making sound incredible.

The role

You're the one who makes it sound effortless, which is the hardest thing to pull off. You take the raw tape and find the episode inside it. You have the technical chops to clean anything up and the ear to know what to leave alone. Every show has its own voice. Your job is to bring it out, not paper over it.

What you'll do

  • Cut raw recordings into finished episodes that sound clean and move at the right pace.

  • Kill the filler, the noise, and the glitches without making it sound scrubbed.

  • Mix and balance the tracks. Host, guest, music, FX, all sitting where they should.

  • Work with producers and hosts so every episode hits the creative vision and the brand standard.

  • Build in the intros, outros, ads, and everything else a finished show needs.

  • Cut 15 to 45 second social clips that make people want the whole episode.

  • Deliver clean audio and video, right format, on schedule, every time.

  • Keep your files organized and your workflow tight so nothing gets lost.

What you bring

  • Real experience editing podcasts or audio. Show us. Portfolio or samples required.

  • Command of at least one pro editing tool. Adobe Audition, Pro Tools, Logic Pro, Reaper, Audacity. Tell us your weapon of choice. Most of our recording lives on Riverside and we polish in Capcut or Wondershare Filmora.

  • A working grip on mixing, EQ, compression, and the basics of mastering.

  • Obsessive attention to detail and a standard for clean, professional sound.

  • The ability to communicate well, work solo, and hit deadlines without a babysitter.

  • A problem-solver's instinct. Every show has a different format and tone. You adapt.

  • Bonus points for sound design, music, and a knack for social cutdowns.

What's in it for you

  • Remote or in-person, on a schedule that flexes around your life.

  • Real work on diverse, high-profile shows.

  • A team that actually backs you and gives you room to level up.

  • A portfolio built on professional shows people actually listen to.

Ready? Send your resume, a short note on your experience, and links to one or two samples of your work. Show us what you can do.
